THE ALPHA COURSE
A practical introduction to the Christian faith

The next Alpha course in Burwell is planned to start in January 2008, on Tuesdays. Each evening starts with a meal beginning around 7pm until 8pm, as a chance to relax after a day's activity. Then there is a DVD, then some nice coffee, then a chance to discuss the important topics that you may have always wanted to discuss.

If that sounds like it might be interesting and you might want more details, click here to drop us an email. If you want to check it out further first, do have a look at http://uk.alpha.org/home.
There is an introductory evening planned for Tuesday 8th January to have a 'taster' of Alpha.

Hazel K writes about the last course:  “I joined the last Alpha course in Burwell not really knowing what is was all about; several people I knew of had done the course elsewhere and had all spoken highly of it, so I thought why not, you can never know too much!

The evenings start with a meal cooked by a team of hosts (what a treat having someone cook for you once a week); then an informative but also humorous DVD about different aspects of Christianity. After coffee and cake, there were some challenging, and very interesting points of view expressed in smaller groups.  I do not think anyone held back in their views or opinions!

I would highly recommend the Alpha course to anyone who wants to learn more about the Christian faith.”

The course administrator in Burwell is Simon Rogers.

The course is sponsored by Churches Together in Burwell and there is no cost to you.                  This page updated: 10 January 2008
